Peekr Privacy Policy
Effective date: 2026-06-03
This Privacy Policy applies to Peekr (the App) and its related online services. The App is provided by the Whypixel / Peekr team.
1. Information we collect
The App is designed to collect as little data as possible, but it still processes necessary information to provide gameplay, multiplayer, and statistics features.
1.1 Information you provide
- Nickname and avatar selection.
- Preference settings such as language, sound, deck theme, and chip theme.
- Content you voluntarily send us in support emails.
1.2 Information stored on your device
- Player ID, device ID, nickname, avatar selection, and other settings.
- Preferences, volume, deck theme, and chip theme.
- Solo practice statistics, history, Honor Star data, and purchase or unlock status, if applicable.
This data is mainly stored locally on your device. Some identifiers may also be stored in Keychain so the same identity can be restored after reinstalling the App.
1.3 Information needed for multiplayer
- Player ID, nickname, avatar selection, room ID, invite code, session token, and room state.
- Variant, blinds, starting chips, player limit, game actions, dealing, settlement, disconnection, reconnection, heartbeats, and table snapshots.
This data is used only to create rooms, join rooms, synchronize hands, reconnect players, and maintain game state.
1.4 Information needed for stats and leaderboards
- Anonymous player ID, device ID, game ID, or hand ID.
- Honor Stars, win / completion counts, and daily solo practice summaries.
- A coarse country or region code inferred by the service.
The App does not upload your real-world identity as leaderboard data.
1.5 Information automatically processed by service infrastructure
When you use online features, service providers may automatically process IP address, timestamps, request and error logs, connection status, and transport metadata. This information is used only to provide the service, protect security, troubleshoot issues, and prevent abuse. It is not used for advertising.
2. How we use information
- Create and restore your local profile.
- Discover and connect nearby players, and run local or remote tables.
- Synchronize room state, dealing, actions, and settlement.
- Display avatars, nicknames, game statistics, Honor Stars, and leaderboard results.
- Save solo practice progress and replays.
- Keep the service stable and secure and diagnose issues.
- Process purchases, restore purchases, or unlock status, if applicable.
3. How we share information
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for cross-app tracking advertising.
- With other players in the same room, so they can see nicknames, avatar selections, game state, and necessary room information to play the game.
- With service providers as needed for room hosting, message relay, statistics, and security protection.
- With Apple as needed to process App Store purchases, restore purchases, or verify transactions.
- When required by law, or to resolve disputes or prevent abuse.
4. Data retention
- Local profile data, preferences, and practice statistics remain on the device until you delete the App, reset your profile, or manually clear related data.
- Multiplayer room data is retained only as long as needed for room synchronization, reconnection, settlement, and service operation.
- Leaderboard and summary data may be retained longer for long-term statistics and rankings.
If you want remote data that we control to be deleted, please contact us using the details below.
5. Data security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect data, such as protected local storage, controlled server endpoints, and session validation. However, no transmission or storage method can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
6. Children's privacy
The App is designed for adult or near-adult poker gameplay and is not intended for children. If we learn that a minor has provided identifiable personal information without guardian consent, we will delete the related data where reasonably possible.
7. Your choices
- Change your nickname, avatar, and preferences in the App.
- Delete the App to remove most locally stored data.
- Contact us to request access to, deletion of, or correction of remote data that we control.
Local Network permission is required for nearby table discovery and local multiplayer. Turning it off or denying it will affect multiplayer features, so it is not a recommended data-management method.
8. Third-party services
The App uses or relies on Apple's App Store, StoreKit, system permissions, and local storage capabilities, as well as Cloudflare for remote rooms, message relay, statistics, and hosting. These providers may process necessary technical data under their own policies.
9. Changes to this Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes to how we handle data, we will post the updated version in the App, on our website, or through another reasonable method, and update the effective date.
